The Mint
The current strikes
The strike
Cut in, not laid on
Every coin is die-struck in solid metal. The relief, the lettering and the milled edge are cut into the blank under pressure, not printed or plated onto the surface afterwards. That is why the detail holds up to handling, and why the light moves across the face when you turn it. Nothing on a struck coin can rub off, because nothing was laid on top.
The legend
Every strike carries a line
Around the rim of every design there is a line, struck in with everything else. The Hendecagon reads “Trust the code”. The hole coins carry Satoshi’s own words about a lost bitcoin being a donation to everyone. Read the rest of the rim and you have the year and the mint mark, so the piece identifies itself with no paperwork at all.
Questions
Before you buy
How do I know how many are left?
Every product page reads the number straight from our stock, so the figure you see is what is actually sitting in the vault at that moment. Where a mintage is stated in the product description, that is the total number ever made.
Do the coins come loaded with Bitcoin?
Most are sold unloaded. The coin carries its own on-chain Bitcoin address and a tamper-evident hologram, and you fund that address yourself through the Ballet Crypto app whenever you choose to.
A few pieces ship already funded. Where that is the case, the product page says so.
Do you ever restrike an edition?
No. When an edition closes it stays closed, and where a mintage is stated on the product page that is the total number that will ever exist. Runs here are deliberately small: the shortest is 21 pieces and the longest is 2,105.
Where do you ship, and how much is it?
Worldwide, tracked, and typically dispatched within 1-3 business days. UK standard delivery is £4.99 and free over £50, the European Union is £14.99, and the United States, Canada and the rest of the world are £23.99, all quoted at 3-5 business days.
Outside the UK your local customs authority may charge import duties or taxes on delivery. Those are not included in the item or shipping price.
Can I return a piece?
Yes, within 14 days of receiving it, in original undamaged condition with any seals, capsules, certificates and packaging intact.
Because these are collectible precious-metal pieces we cannot take a return once a seal or capsule has been opened or damaged, unless the item is faulty or was not as described. If something arrives damaged or wrong, send us photos within 14 days and we will replace it or refund it in full, return postage included.
